The bulk of my writing is experienced through pen and paper. I could never do my limbic brain any justice when going straight to the keyboard on a computer. Writing in a notebook is more personal, physical and direct-as in there is less of a filter. There is a lot to weed through when moving from paper to laptop, figuring out what to keep and what to discard. There are lots of letters written by my unsteady hand that I need to really squint to understand-but it’s worth it!
I agree with you, for the most part. When writing fiction, I almost always write by hand first, as I do most of the time with my poetry, but my blog I seem to be able to write even the first draft on screen.
Keep going–keep writing!
